Our seasonal truly pasture raised pigs are raised the way pigs live in the wild. They live in large pasture paddocks and are rotated through our fields and woods. They are free to dig, run, play and bask in the sun as much as they wish. In addition to all the grass they can eat, they are supplemented with certified organic grain. Their paddocks include access to portable shelters so they can get out of inclement weather and into the shade. They are a mix of Berkshire, Landrace and Yorkshire which leads to incredibly full flavor and tender pork, without being overly fatty. We sell them by the half and whole "off the farm" in the fall. For our "off the farm" sales, the butcher comes to our farm and we are personally present for the entire harvesting process, insuring humane treatment and proper handling.
