Pasture-Raised Pork Deposit (Half/Whole Hog)
You can reserve your 1/2 or whole pork with a simple deposit of $100 and pay the remaining balance at $4.40 per lb for a half hog or $4.00 per pound for a whole hog hanging weight. Cut & wrap butcher fees and the on-farm harvest fee will be additional charges paid to the butcher. (Typical hanging weight range: 150-230 lbs per whole hog).
Prices for pork are based on "hanging weight" which is the weight of the carcass just before it is carved into specific cuts. Take-home weight is 25% - 35% less than hanging weight due to trimming and deboning. The Butchers will process your meat to your specifications: No Worries! They are there to help you through the process. Our customers should discuss product options such as sausage and smoked products with the butcher prior to ordering as there are usually additional fees or costs associated with those products. The anticipated cost for cutting and wrapping (paid to the butcher at the time of meat pickup) is around $.70/lb. The cost for the butcher to come to our farm will be $38/half hog or $76/whole hog (also paid to the butcher at the time of meat pickup). You will go to the above selected shop to pick up your finished product. Hogs are butchered in August to late October.
Our pasture-raised 1/2 and whole hogs can be reserved online or at our booth at the Edmonds, Mill Creek, or Redmond Farmers Markets. The pork, cut and wrapped to your specifications, will be picked up by you, directly from the butcher you choose to do the processing. We are taking 1/2 and whole pork reservations now. Quantities are limited so make sure your reservation and deposit are completed early to guarantee your pork for this fall.
