100% Grassfed Beef Deposit (1/4, 1/2, or whole)
You can reserve your quarter, half, or whole beef with a simple deposit of $100 and pay the remaining balance at $4.75 per lb hanging weight for quarter or half beef, or $4.50 per lb for whole beef. Cut & wrap butcher fees and the on-farm harvest fee will be additional charges paid to the butcher. (Typical hanging weight range: 650-900 lbs for whole beef).
Prices are based on “hanging weight” which is the weight of the carcass just before it is carved into specific cuts. Take-home weight is 25-35 percent less than hanging weight due to trimming and deboning. For half and whole beef, the butcher will help you through the process of determining how you want your meat processed. For quarter beef, the butcher will talk you through what cuts to expect. However, if you would like an idea of what to expect from a quarter beef before ordering, please feel free to call us first. If you know that you want specific cuts and sizes, we highly recommend ordering a half or whole beef, as they are able to be customized. The anticipated cost for cutting and wrapping (paid to the butcher at the time of meat pickup) is around $.70/lb. The cost for the butcher to come to our farm will be $100/whole, $50/half and $25/quarter (also paid to the butcher at the time of meat pickup). You will go to the above selected shop to pick up your finished product.
Our 100% grassfed beef can be reserved online or at our booth at the Edmonds, Mill Creek, or Redmond Farmers Markets. The beef, once cut and wrapped, will be picked up by you, directly from the butcher you choose to do the processing. We are taking 1/4, 1/2 and whole beef reservations now. Quantities are limited so make sure your reservation and deposit are completed early to guarantee your beef for this fall. Your $100 non-refundable deposit will apply to your total purchase.
